To Battle Or Not To Battle?

Arrgghh...why don't they put phone numbers in the website? I have been searching the Sony Style website for the last 30 minutes trying to find the phone number to the store at The Curve. They give you a 1300 number which tells you that the office is closed. Hello?? I know that. It is Sunday. What I really want to know is the phone number to the store.....arrggh.

I recently bought a new Sony Ericsson mobile which uses the new memory stick micro or m2. The camera shops and electronic gadget shops are selling the 512MB for RM250.00 whereas Sony Style is selling it at only RM189.00. However it is out of stock in KLCC and Times Square. The only other is at The Curve.

So, I figured...let's give them a call to find out if they have the stock before I battle Sunday traffic of family outings to get it. But alas...no freaking phone nunber at the website. Why do they put every little information imaginable but not the phone number??

And Citibank Called...

" Good evening, this is xxx from Citibank and we would like verify a recent transaction ". Yup, that was the call I received on Thursday evening shortly after leaving Zara in KLCC. I must say that I am quite impressed with the monitoring Citibank does, of large transactions. After all, I did spend RM 2,448.10 in Zara at one go. And no, the stuff I bought was not for me except for maybe two shirts...hehe.

A client of mine recently promoted a manager within the ranks to be a spokesperson for the company and decided to seek the assistance of yours truly to groom this person. And so, we went shopping for new spectacles, a 3-step daily facial products, shoes and of course clothes. And since I am a fan of Zara, that is where we ended up.

Here, we are pulling a range of shirts, pants and suits for this man to try. And nothing seems to work. And I tell the client, its not the clothes, its the torso. I tell you, this man does not have a proportioned torso. Or maybe its because he pulls his pants to high up. Which leaves the body looking kinda short and very long legs. And an extended waist line does not help the matter.

Anyway, after 2 hours in Zara and 4 sales people attending to us (kinda glam huh?), we were finally done. Am no magician but I am definitely happy with the choices. After all I am doing what I do best...spending other people's money by shopping.

Now, let's just hope this man is able to maintain the look we created...sigh!

What's Round The Corner?

It finally happened last night. We had a good chat about the current situation and decided it was best we moved on. After all, I am not going to re-locate and neither is he coming back.

Well, that's the end of another chapter in my story. It was a rather long chapter though and definitely one which I will remember for a long time. We had our ups and downs but overall it was a good.

Now I wonder what awaits me round the corner......

Why Can't I Be Like Them?

How often do we stop ourselves from doing something...simply because it's just not done? My guess is many times. I am sure a lot of us refrain from doing something because we know we are being watched by others. Shouldn't we all be allowed to do what we like without prejudice?

I recently met a young guy and during one outing, we met a group of his friends for coffee. At one point, I just sat back and watched them. They were talking and laughing..giggles..hand gestures..and all. It was very obvious they were part of the "happy" family. But they were perfectly at ease with themselves..without a care in the world or the least bothered about what the neighbouring tables thought about them.

It was at this point which I thought to myself...why can't I be like them?
